This Day in Music: April 24th

Some very pivotal things happened this day in music history, some happy and some sad. For example, it was this day in 1975 that Badfinger lead singer Peter Hamm passed away at the age of 27, then a year later to the day John Lennon and Paul McCartney would see each other for the last time. They were watching Saturday Night Live together when Lorne Michaels offered for them to come on the show and perform three songs, an offer which they considered but ultimately decided that they were too tired. And finally, this day in 1992 David Bowie married model Iman, whom he would remain married to for the remainder of his life.
