Oldest Black-Footed Ferret in Fort Collins Museum

Well this is exciting, the oldest known black-footed ferret is currently on display in Fort Collins' Museum of Discovery! The ferret, I'm assuming named after a character in The Outsiders, Two Bit, is the human equivalent of 126 years old. Now, my question is, why is it in the museum and not the zoo?
