I'll be honest, one of the things I miss most in the world is brick and mortar record stores. Granted, there are a few still hanging around, but the juggernaut was definitely Tower Records, whose founder Russ Solomon passed away over the weekend. Though the record store chain closed its doors for good in 2006, Tower dominated the country since the 1970's and like his stores, he didn't go out without a fight. He passed away at 92, reportedly drinking whiskey and watching the Oscars. Check out the full story here.
