Bandwagon's Battle of the Bands Night Two Recap

Bandwagon Magazine's annual Battle of the Bands continued last night at the Downtown Artery, and in case you missed it, well, here's what you missed:

Rat Doctor: Downtown Artery employee and karaoke diva Terrah's band Rat Doctor kicked things off and KILLED IT. They were obviously very well rehearsed, and their unique mix of alternative pop and delightful weirdness had the crowd roaring.

The Catcalls: This was a band that I wasn't very familiar with, but am eternally grateful now that I am. Led by dueling female guitarist/vocalists, The Catcalls are definitely a band that you need to see at least once in your life.

Places Back Home: Places Back Home brought their signature moody alternative sound to an eager Artery crowd and did not disappoint. Their set concluded with a fun, very Places Back Home-esque version of Smash Mouth's All-Star with former member Corey sitting in on the vocals.

The Great Salmon Famine: We ended the night with what I would call a good old fashioned Red Rocks jam band by the name of The Great Salmon Famine. It was a tough decision as every band last night put on a great show, but the greatest came from the Salmon Famine and they walked away with the victory.

The battle continues next Thursday at Hodi's Half Note with performances by Amorphic, Chess at Breakfast, MIRROR FIELDS, and MountainUs
