Axl Rose, Duff McKagan Thank GNR Fans For 'Monumental' Pandemic Return Tour

Despite the innumerable complications of the COVID-19 pandemic, Guns N' Roses played every scheduled date of its 'We're F'N Back' tour this year, selling out gigantic venues across the United States.

The perhaps improbable success of the tour (as so many others had been suspended or postponed) was not lost on frontman Axl Rose or bassist Duff McKagan, who issued separate thank yous to GNR fans following the riotous final show of the tour over the weekend.

Rose delivered his statement in a note released via GNR's official social accounts, reiterating his remarks from the stage Sunday night in Hollywood, Florida.

"Again huge thanks to everyone that came out to the shows!! A special thanks to everyone for working with us to help protect your safety, the safety of each other, the safety of r crew n' the venue's crews following r COVID protocol. These r stressful times (which is an understatement) and your cooperation n' participation is greatly appreciated and not taken for granted.
"We didn't take going into this tour lightly n' there were huge industry considerations (n' reasonings) to take into account in taking on such an endeavor n' we truly want to thank everyone that came out or was involved in any way for making it great n' that things ran as smoothly as they did!! And last but not least a big thanks to Wolfie Van Halen n' [his band Mammoth WVH] 4 a great run!!
"Peace n' hope to see everyone again soon!!!"

McKagan added his own thanks via Instagram in the caption of a photo of himself, Rose and Slash.

"Well sh*t! Can't yhank you all enough for coming out to all of these shows," he wrote. This tour has been rather monumental...and mental! And KILLER! Thank you again all you all!"

In addition to the successful live dates, the 'We're F'N Back' tour also found the band releasing new music again, 13 years since Chinese Democracy and 25 years since Slash and McKagan initially left the band.

The new songs, "ABSURD" and "Hard Skool," are available now. The band has packaged the tracks on an EP, which will arrive February 25, 2022. Go here for more details.
