As April draws to a close, let's take a look at the May schedule for 5K's and fun runs in Northern Colorado with special thanks to The Coloradoan:
THE COLORADO MARATHON
May 5th @ 6:30am-7:00am at various locations
This is a half-marathon, 10K, 5K, and marathon relay race in Fort Collins. The website is really cool and does a great job in describing the event and what you need to do to prepare for it. Registration is going on right now.

QUAD ROCK 25/50
May 11th @ 5:30am at Lory State Park
This if for the "Gnar" runners that enjoy the off-road experience and, as the website says, this event promotes "enthusiasm and passion for the sport of mountain, trail and ultrarunning in and around the beautiful mountains of Northern Colorado." They feature both a 25 and 50 mile course.

FORT COLLINS MOTHERS DAY 5K
May 11th @ 8:00am at Lesher Middle School, 1400 Stover St., Fort Collins
Wear your pink and enjoy a Mother's Day run at Lesher Middle School. The route will take you around downtown Fort Collins and around CSU. There is an early bird sign up available until May 4th.

COLORADO RUN
May 27th @ 8:00am at Spring Canyon Park, 3156 Overland Drive, Fort Collins
This Memorial Day race features a 10K and a teen 5K. They invite all to participate even if you want to walk the route, or better yet, carry a 35lb ruck sack! Yes, they have a "ruck" category for those that wish to carry the weight.
