In the 1960's you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing The Wrecking Crew. From Elvis Presley to The Monkeys, to Simon and Garfunkel, The Wrecking Crew played on nearly every recorded hit on the market. A lot of artists from the 60's didn't actually play on their own recordings, as most of them were inexperienced in the recording studio. Producers usually opted to bring in the professionals.
