Scott Weiland's Son Covers Velvet Revolver Hit, Shares 'Fever Dream' Video

Noah Weiland celebrated Father's Day by covering "Slither," his dad Scott Weiland's biggest hit with his band Velvet Revolver. He shared an Instagram post about the song, revealing that he's also now a father.

"HAPPY FATHERS DAY PAPA, NOW THAT I AM A FATHER JUST LIKE YOU (& REALIZE HOW HARD IT IS TO BE A GOOD PARENT), I DECIDED TO COVER ONE OF YOUR CLASSICS FOR YA," he captioned the post, which was sharing the song's music video.

Noah also spoke to Rolling Stone about the song and its accompanying AI-generated music video. “The video is supposed to be like a gnarly fever dream,” he explained. “One second I’m running away from my own demons, the next I’m lusting over a girl that I have a crush on trying to save her. I even get a visit from my father in the dream as well, which is something that happens to me in real life as well. I basically did the whole video from my iPhone lying in bed, same way I record all of my music too.”

This isn't the first time Noah's covered his dad's music. Earlier this year, he shared a cover of Stone Temple Pilots' "Sex Type Thing." Noah's been carrying on that legacy through his own music, which includes a song with never-before-heard vocals from Scott. Watch Noah's "Slither" video below.
