Adrian Smith is one of many musicians affected by the ongoing Los Angeles fires. The Iron Maiden guitarist sadly lost his Malibu home in the Palisades fire. His wife, Nathalie Dufresne-Smith, confirmed the devastating news on Instagram with an uplifting message. "We are safe. We have each other. We will start again," she captioned photos, including the last sunset from their house. "Thank-you for your support during these trying times."

That post came after Nathalie shared harrowing footage of them moments leading up to their evacuation. In one video, she asks Adrian to check on their elderly neighbor (she safely evacuated) and says “look, this is definitely coming toward us… now we have to go!” In an Instagram live video, she speculates that the house will parish. “Oh s***, this is not good," she says as they pack up their car and plan to leave. "Oh well, house, we did enjoy you.”

Primus guitarist Larry "Ler" LaLonde also lost his house in the fires. His bandmate, Les Claypool, broke the sad news.
