Colorado Parks and Wildlife is hosting a free warm water fishing clinic on Saturday, May 15, at Buckingham Lake in Loveland.
This clinic will focus on teaching family groups the basics of fishing warm water species, including handling, equipment, locations to fish, casting while using a slip bobber, cooking and cleaning. The clinic will consist of a half-hour educational session with CPW staff and will proceed to fishing the lake until noon. All fishing related gear will be provided by CPW, each participant will need to bring all personal gear (beverages, snacks, sunscreen, etc.).
There are three different educational sessions, which start at 8, 8:30 and 9 a.m. Click here to register for the fishing clinic. Participants are asked to meet on Scenic Drive on the southeast corner of the lake. For those 16 years of age and older, a valid Colorado fishing license is required.
