The Broncos were excited for their week 5 matchup with the New England Patriots because the big story in the beginning was the return of quarterback Drew Lock. However, all of the talk of the game was about kicker Brandon McManus breaking a franchise record by making all 6 field goal attempts and scoring all 18 points for the Broncos. Thanks to the effort from McManus and the great performance from the Broncos defense, Denver was able to hold on to a six point lead to win the game 18-12. The Broncos now have a record of 2-3 and will welcome division rival, the Kansas City Chiefs next week.
