Here is the list of Cheyenne Animal Shelter's Pets of the Week!
Stop by and fall in love with these cuties!
Also make sure to check out their upcoming events!
Spiderman is a 9 year old male Domestic Shorthair/Mix who is not the kind of cat who needs a lot of attention – he prefers to do his own thing. If you’re wanting a cat that will be in your face… well, that’s not him! He’s used to coming and going as he pleases, and may even be happy in a protected barn as long as he gets to come in when the weather gets cold. He doesn’t mind a soft pet from time to time, just as long as he can maintain his independence. Come by to see if this is the cat for you!
Freddy is a 9 year old male Domestic Shorthair/Mix who is a retired “neighborhood roamer.” He, along with his brother, Jason, are looking for a forever family who will let them chill and hang out. If you have room in your house for two retired sprinters, ask the front desk to meet them today!

Prim is an 8 year old female Boxer/Mix who is a sweet older gal who just loves to be around people! She does have a high prey drive, so she can’t go home with children or cats, but other than that, she would love to be a part of your life! Come meet her to see what you’ve been missing!
Madonna is a 5 year old female Terrier, American Pit Bull/Retriever, Labrador Mix who will prove to you that her love for you will last much longer than diamonds, gold and fancy cars! She can’t go home with children, but you won’t need any with her in your life! Race down to the Shelter to meet her today!
Smiles is a 2 year old male Border Collie/Mix who came to us from the Panhandle Humane Society. He was a staff favorite there who stole a ton of hearts! Smiles is very energetic and would love an active family. He can’t share a home with children or small animals because of his herding tendencies, but trust us when we say he would be the perfect addition to your life!
Sassy is a 3 year old female Entlebucher Mountain Dog/Mix who is very loyal and protective! She can be a bit skittish when you meet her but warms up quickly with treats! Sassy is very selective of other dogs and extremely barrier and leash reactive. She would benefit greatly from basic obedience training and boundary setting. Sassy must meet everyone she will be going home with – both two and four legged, but would still love nothing more than to go home with you!
Shelly is a 1 year old female albino ferret who, like most ferrets, is pretty unique. Come meet her – she certainly leaves an impression!
And Bingo was his Name-O! For the entire month of February, join the Downtown Development Authority and the Cheyenne Animal Shelter for a month of downtown shopping and donations that could score you a big prize! Pick up a Bingo card at any of the participating downtown businesses or the Downtown Development Authority Office. Squares are marked off by taking a photo with each participating business, bringing in a donation for the Cheyenne Animal Shelter or by purchasing an item in the store. Completed bingo cards can be dropped off at the participating businesses or the Downtown Development Authority Office! Bingo sheets must be returned by March 6th – drawings for the prizes will be on March 9th!
Puppy Love – A Date with your Dog! This Valentine's Day season just got a little bit sweeter! On Saturday, February 8th, from 1-4pm, join the Cheyenne Animal Shelter and Freedom's Edge Brewing Company at the brewery (1509 Pioneer Avenue) for a day of Puppy Love! $20 covers the entire cost of a date day with your dog, a professional digital photo by Jennifer Rood Photography AND a pint of your favorite beer! There will be Valentine's Day crafts for you and Fido to do together, snacks for you and your 4-legged friend, and, most importantly, beer! Space is extremely limited for this special Valentine's Day Date with your Dog, so sign up now before it's too late at cheyenneanimalshelter.org! As an added bonus, we will also have a professional photographer there to take Valentine’s Day photos of your furry friend in front of an Instagram-worthy Valentine’s Day backdrop! A digital photo is included in your ticket price, or, if you just want to “do it for the gram” without buying a Puppy Love Ticket, a $10 donation will score you just the digital photo. Head to cheyenneanimalshelter.org to register for either the date or just the photo shoot itself! Questions? Shoot Haylee Chenchar an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We love love! But we love Puppy Love even more! We'll see you on February 8th!
Fur Ball – The Great Catsby! "A little party never killed nobody," so mark your calendars for our 16th Annual Fur Ball! At “The Great Catsby,” you’ll enjoy libations and a delicious dinner along with our live and silent auction to help the nearly 6,000 animals that will depend on the Cheyenne Animal Shelter this year. You won’t want to miss this year’s Fur Ball, so reserve your seat soon! Visit our website at cheyenneanmalshelter.org to buy your tickets or register your table. The pets in our care are counting on kind hearts such as yours to provide love and support in their lives because every seat filled means another life saved. This year is especially exciting, as we are also celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Cheyenne Animal Shelter! To properly recognize this milestone, we are truly pulling out all of the stops for this year's Fur Ball - of all the events this year, THIS is the one to be at! Costumes welcome as we step back (and forward!) into the '20s... we can't wait to see you!
