The Rolling Stones Perform 'You Can’t Always Get What You Want' Via Zoom

Even apart, The Rolling Stones know how to gift audiences an unforgettable live performance.

On Saturday (April 18), the legendary rock band came together via zoom for Global Citizen's One World: Together At Home special.

Led by Mick Jagger, the group performed their hit "You Can't Always Get What You Want" from their separate homes.

Mick kicked things off by saying, "Here's one I hope you know" before strumming his guitar and belting out the famous track. Not everyone in the band though had the appropriate instruments as Charlie Watts used his drumsticks to play on air drums.

As fans know, The Rolling Stones recently had to postpone their 2020 "No Filter Tour" due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Saturday's One World: Together at Home broadcast was organized by Global Citizen and curated by Lady Gaga to raise awareness and critical funds to support those on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. The event featured performances from Paul McCartney, Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, Lizzo, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Sam Smith and many more.

"At this critical moment in history, Global Citizen is also calling on individuals, governments, and philanthropists to join and support immediate COVID-19 response efforts," a statement from the organization said. "Change makers, investors and foundation leaders are being urged to actualize their giving and invest quickly in related efforts, like stronger health systems and vaccine development."
