Soundgarden Is Releasing A New Live Album And Concert Film

Soundgarden has big plans on celebrating its 35th anniversary. Back in March, the band announced a limited-edition vinyl series featuring Louder Than Love, Superunknown, Down on the Upside, Badmoterfinger, and Animal King. Now, the surviving members are taking it a step further and announced a new live album and concert film: Live from the Artists Den. The project will showcase the grunge rockers' now legendary 2013 concert The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

“We were very proud and excited to document the performance of our new material from King Animal, and to celebrate with each other and our fans,” guitarist Kim Thayil said in a statement. Chris Cornell's widow Vicky added: “This live show was really special, and I know how much fun Chris had that night. The idea of giving fans the opportunity to experience it in its entirety is something I’m proud to share with them.”

The Live from the Artists Den film and live album are slated for a July 26 release. They’ll be available on Blu-ray, as a 2xCD or 4xLP bundle, and limited-edition Super Deluxe box set that features 30 bonus minutes of interviews with the band.
