Vince Neil Pleasantly Surprised By Mötley Crüe's 'The Dirt' Biopic

Mötley Crüe front man Vince Neil had his reservations about the band's upcoming biopic The Dirt, which is due on Netflix later this month.

Seeing someone act the part of you has to be a weird feeling, especially when it's in a movie meant to show some of the highest (in multiple senses of the word) and lowest moments of your life.

But after screening the film, Neil said he really enjoyed it, despite his complicated feelings.

"I was really pleasantly surprised, because I didn't know if it was gonna be this really low-budget film," he told YouTube channel KaaosTV. "Because you can make really bad films very easily. But after the first 10 minutes of watching the movie, I forgot it was about us and I just was enjoying a really good film."

Actor Daniel Webber plays Neil in the film. Neil says he was never concerned about Webber doing a good job playing him.

"It wasn't me that was nervous; it was actually the guy that played me who was nervous," Neil told Kaoos. "He wanted to make sure he did a really good job. And he did. I think each guy that played each of the band members pulled it off — I mean, exact. You get everybody's personalities right there on film. It's pretty neat to watch."

The Dirt will be available on Netflix starting March 22.

To celebrate the movie, Mötley Crüe reunited last summer to record four new songs. The first new track, "The Dirt" was released in February. It features Machine Gun Kelly, who stars in the film as Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.

Bassist Nikki Sixx has tempered fans expectations of a full-fledged reunion, however, saying that the band hasn't talked about touring again and is uninterested in breaking the contract it signed before "The Final Tour" in 2015.
