Whitesnake Will Unveil New Single "Shut Up & Kiss Me" on Valentine's Day

Whitesnake will release the first single from it's long-awaited new album on Valentine's Day, February 14.

The legendary band teased the new song, "Shut Up & Kiss Me," with a short teaser video released via the band's social media.

The new album, Flesh & Blood is set to be released in May, more than a year after being completed.

Front man David Coverdale announced last May that the album's release had to be pushed back to 2019 "following technical issues" involving the mixing process.

But Whitesnake's record label, Frontiers Records, promised the album's release would correspond with another world tour. The label promised through a statement that "the album and tour will be worth waiting for."

Beyond whatever "technical issues" befell the band during mixing, Flesh & Blood had already been a challenge for the band. Coverdale was hit with what he called an "evil strain of flu" during the recording process. He said he was knocked down for some sick weeks with the illness.

Despite the setbacks, Coverdale said last year that he believes the album is one of his band's best ever.

Whitesnake is set to hit the road in April for the beginning of its North American tour.
